Willy Noir has crisscrossed the globe, spreading Angolan AfroHouse and Kuduro to new audiences. He has traveled across Europe, North and South America, Africa—and in 2024, he added Asia and Australia to the list of continents where he has taught workshops. Willy also launched AfroDrip Dance Camp, held twice a year in Amsterdam and now part of Europe’s growing roster of dance camps centered on African urban dances. In 2024, he expanded the concept into Asia with AfroJam Dance Camp.

Oyofe is an oasis of African creativity—a place where movers gather in unity, free of borders and restrictions, speaking one universal language: dance. The theme of the 2025 summer edition of the Oyofe Dance Festival was Angola vs. South Africa, and they delivered on every level. Over six days (July 1–6), the vibrant urban dance cultures of both countries took center stage through workshops, battles, performances, and community gatherings.

So Dope Dance Academy was started to provide a platform for young dancers to learn, grow, and express themselves through dance. Our mission is to empower our students with the skills, confidence, and creativity to succeed in the dance industry and beyond. The aim is to serve youth in disenfranchised communities who face challenges like social ills, gun violence and gangsterism, to empower them through dance training, meditation and nurture their life skills.
