Limpopo boy embodies South African urban dance. His style is influenced by the various urban styles native to South Africa: Pantsula, Sbhujwa and Bhenga. He is one of those rare dancers who chart their own path: never following trends or copying others. Instead Lesedi (Limpopo Boy) always expresses his own unique movements. His ability to improvise and create moves makes him a standout dancer. His dance is a statement of his deep understanding of rhythm and his body’s response to that rhythm. His style has inspired many and with South African dance and music trending, we see Limpopo’s influence popping up all over the diaspora.
We caught up with the dynamic dancer to see his flow up close and to learn a little more about the man behind the dance
We very much love Limpopo's flow. Watch our collab dance visual
